DJ Shanti formally known as DJ Warren D, as well as member of collaboration DJ Duo “Groove & Flava”, has launched as a Solo artist, DJ. DJ Shanti South African Born DJ / Producer was introduced at a young age to the South African Dance scene in early 2000. As young as 15 years old bought his first set of Vinyl’s from a renowned Hidden gem – Rugged Vinyl Record shop just off the well-known, Long street in Cape Town. Often remember passing through the vibey “Mister Pickwicks cafe “up a flight of stairs behind a single door .... “Rugged Vinyl” ... 100% Legit!

Cape Town couldn’t have asked for a more authentic, underground Record shop. Owned by notorious Nick E Louder, Toby Allen & Phil Good. Three British born gents, suppling SA with the Latest In Underground music. DJ Shanti bought his first 3 Hard House Vinyl’s at Rugged Vinyl and quotes “I still remember it as though it was Yesterday “. He played his first DJ Set at A small venue called Chili & Lime at the age of 15, from there on he was Hooked and has been active in the SA Club scene for more than 2 decades.

His real name being Warren aka DJ Shanti has experienced the clubbing / DJ scene from various different perspectives. Having grown with the times and genres, he experienced how the S.A Dance Scene, evolved and grew into what it is Today. Starting off as a Hard House DJ, at 19 Shanti said Good Bye to Cape Town and Moved to the Busy urban City of Pretoria.

Embracing the opportunity Up in Gauteng he slowly and surly found, a different dance culture and club scene. Popular at the time was the Tech House scene. After all the years he has grown a great love for House music from deep within his soul.

Having being privileged to play alongside some of South Africa’s most inspiring DJ’s /producers and artists. He Has also featured online ups with DJs & Artists such as:
