Seth Rogan is working with Lonely Island (Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer and Andy Samberg) on a spoof film about “a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG”.

One can only assume their inspiration is Fyre Festival, 2017’s failed ‘luxury’ event that promised an island utopia and delivered plastic cheese and soggy mattresses.

First announced in a 2017 tweet, Taccone has confirmed, in an interview with The Daily Beast, that the film is indeed underway.

For real, thinking about suing for stealing our idea.

@Sethrogen

This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with @thelonelyisland about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG.

Following revelations in the documentary about how much money many of those hired to work for Fyre Festival lost personally, over £120k was raised for one worked via GoFundMe.
