Moog’s new standalone semi-modular analog synthesizer called Grandmother is being unveiled at Moogfest this week.
The $899 (R12 500.00) unit follows a retro style and works all on its own, or can be connected to other sound making devices, like Moog’s Mother-32, which doesn’t have a built-in keyboard.
This is Moog’s first instrument of 2018 and is said to have been inspired by Bob Moog’s 1960s and ’70s modular synths, featuring a built-in arpeggiator, sequencer and spring reverb tank (based on the Moog 905).
