“I am 45 years old. I was diagnosed with aggressive, invasive, oestrogen-receptor-positive, pre-menopausal metastatic ductal carcinoma, HER-2+ breast cancer on Monday, 27 August 2012, at the age of 36. My treatment plan consisted of six months of chemotherapy, surgery, 28 sessions of radiation and a full hysterectomy due to changing cells.
I am currently on disability for chemo brain since 2012 and my husband is unemployed due to his company closing their doors. He runs a small home based company whilst looking for more opportunities within his field.
I have since been diagnosed with metastatic carcinoma cancer on the 24th November 2020, for the second time, and need urgent medical attention. I have started my treatment which at this stage consists of two tablets: 1. Laradex, which is one tablet every day and 2. Kryxana (chemo tablet) which is three tablets once per day. The current treatment, doctors checkups, blood tests and ECG’s will cost around R25000,00 per month. With possible radiation and definite surgery scheduled this year.
Private consultations, CT guided biopsies and the needing to undergo further treatment and surgery, isn’t something we can fund right now. Please help me raise the funds I need to pay my current outstanding medical bills and in order for me to go for my scans, biopsy, tests and further treatments, by making a small donation or share my story through your social media platforms, so I may again live a quality life, finding my “new” normal psychologically and physically. Your contribution/donations will assist me to finance my treatment and give me extra time with my family.
The only barrier to my extended time is money. It has been a hard year for many but if you can contribute, even a small amount, it will make a huge difference, it all ads up.
I have an amazing husband, and two beautiful children, a 22 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. They are extremely important to me and hold a very special place in my heart. I unfortunately lost my mom to cancer on the 28th August 2020. My children and my husband are my strength and the reason for me fighting this battle. Please help me to extend my life and spend more time with them. Help us to get through this. Allow me to expand my #wingsofhope. God Bless.”
