ABOUT DJ Bigg Dogg

DJ Bigg Dogg, also known as Steven Aspeling, officially launched his DJ career in 1991 and has been a staple in the party and entertainment scene ever since. With over three decades of experience, his journey has taken him across continents, playing to diverse crowds and leaving a lasting impression wherever he goes.

He gained international recognition during his four-year residency in Lagos, Nigeria, where he presented the morning show on Rhythm 93.7 FM. His engaging style reached an estimated audience of over 4 million listeners daily. While in Nigeria, DJ Bigg Dogg became a highly sought-after name, performing at the country’s top clubs and headlining events with crowds of up to 10,000 people. His high-profile gigs included Halloween parties for the American Embassy and a Millennium New Year’s celebration hosted by the British Embassy, which welcomed more than 2,000 guests from around the globe. He was also a go-to DJ for a wide range of private and diplomatic functions.

His international experience continued in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he spent another four years refining his craft. DJ Bigg Dogg played at virtually every major hotel in the city, including the world-renowned Burj Al Arab, and held several prestigious club residencies during his time in the region.

Back home in South Africa, DJ Bigg Dogg has earned a stellar reputation for his versatility and professionalism. He was named Best Wedding DJ in South Africa two years in a row (2010 and 2011), and again as Best Wedding DJ in Gauteng in 2022.

Currently, he holds three club residencies in and around Pretoria and Johannesburg, continuing to bring his unique energy and seasoned experience to every dancefloor.
