ABOUT ODIDIVA
Odidi Mfenyana is multidisciplinary performing artist. Born in Cape Town started his professional career in 1994 at Artscape (then Nico Malan Theatre) under the Direction of David Matheson.
He’s gone on to work nationally and internationally with South African theatre luminaries Roy Sargeant, Adele Blank, Michael Williams and Brett Bailey. His career has seen him work extensively on South African and International film and television. Currently one can find Odidi Mfenyana as his equally renowned nom d’guerre alter ego ODIDIVA on Netflix in Angeliena A Movie. Mfenyana is busy working on a production celebrating the lives of Nina Simone, Dinah Washington and James Baldwin.

Odidi Mfenyana received a career-defining break when controversial and internationally acclaimed theatre director Brett Bailey head-hunted him while singing karaoke.ODIDIva contributed and has featured in the bestselling coffee table book Jeza Belle’s Harlots Guide To Classy Cocktails and the Amazon published Around The World in 80 Drag Queens, Africa’s only representative in both publications.
Currently OdiDiva is a book in South Africa’s debut The Human Library Project, Human Library Cape Town. For National Human Rights Month centered around South Africa’s Human Rights Day.
